PK 164.8+31.1 is a faint Planetary Nebula with a 16th magnitude White Dwarf (which appears blue) at its center. The Nebula lies at a distance of about 1600 light-years from earth. Planetary nebula result from gases and dust ejected from a stellar explosion, often at the end of a star's life.
